Call for Supporting Social Procurement

SEECO Project, funded by the European Union, has been implemented with the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Directorate General of Development Agencies, and the World Bank. SEECO Project covers 11 provinces in the implementation region of 5 Development Agencies [1]. It is aimed at establishing 57 livelihood facilities and giving grants to support vulnerable people in the provinces of Hatay, Kahramanmaras, Osmaniye, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Adana, Mersin, Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Kilis, and Mardin, which are in the responsibility area of the 5 Development Agencies.

The social and economic development of vulnerable residents of the earthquake-affected provinces and their income-generating enterprises will be supported by the facilities to be constructed/established. The “social procurement” cooperation with businesses operating in textile, manufacturing, food, and service industries in Türkiye will be achieved within the scope of the call for support. Within this context:

  • Establishment of facilities that will produce goods and services in line with the demanded standards of the companies from the project budget,
  • It will be ensured that procurement of the essential machinery and equipment to be located facilities by the grant support of vulnerable groups (women, adolescents, etc.) living in the area.

The companies to be cooperated within the scope of the call will have an instrumental role in helping vulnerable groups' products to get accessed to larger markets and foster their socioeconomic growth through social procurement.

The volume and quality of goods and services will be determined by the companies. Companies will not have any responsibility in establishment of production-related systems, and consultancy regarding demanded quality and standards of the companies can be requested.
