Adana and Mersin Region Incubation and Acceleration Support Programs Introduced: March 7, 2024

The Incubation and Acceleration Support Programs of the SEECO project, which is funded by the European Union, coordinated by the World Bank and implemented by the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, in cooperation with the Çukurova Development Agency in Adana and Mersin, were introduced at a meeting.

SEECO Project Manager Hande Kara gave detailed information about the project in her opening speech, mentioning the aims and objectives of the project in the implementation region.

Ahmet Rifat Duran, Secretary General of Çukurova Development Agency, emphasized the importance of the project by mentioning the activities of the Agency so far.

Adana Deputy Governor Huriye Küpeli Kan emphasized that these projects, which are production-oriented, job-developing and contribute to the economy, should be well utilized

Following the opening speeches, Esma Karabıyık, Cukurova Development Agency Expert - SEECO Project focal person and Aytekin Ağır, Team Leader of the Community Implementation Partner, gave information about the general structure of the project.

Following the speeches, Bilge Derdiyok, Social Investment Programs Coordinator at Mikado Consulting, and Okan Pala, Social Entrepreneurship Programs Manager at Kale Group, shared their experiences in the field of social entrepreneurship.

The meeting concluded with a presentation on the livelihood facilities supported in Adana and Mersin within the scope of the project.
